Institution has a digital library system powered by KOHA software with N-List facility offers a comprehensive and efficient solution for managing library resources in today's digital era. This library has an in-house server with KOHA software. There are near about 15 thousand books in the college library. The library contains books from various disciplines related to education. Every year some new books are added to the library as per the needs of the students.
Every book in the library is computerized with call number using KOHA software. One of the key advantages of using KOHA software in a digital library system is its comprehensive cataloging and management features. Librarians can easily input, organize, and maintain metadata for various types of resources, ensuring efficient retrieval and accessibility for users. N-list membership is taken up in the college library for the benefit of students and teachers. The N-List facility within KOHA appreciably enhances the user experience by offering advanced search options. Every students and faculty members of the college are digitally connected to the N-list.
Students and teachers can get access to nearly 6,000 journals included in N-list through the college website. Students take help of nearly 2 lakhs e-books included in N-list as per their needs. Having an LMS on the website of the college library has made the library a fully digital library. There is a active library committee who look after the library properly. Teachers of this institution regularly give recommendations for buying new books in the library. As a result of it, students are constantly getting new books from the library.
A pert-time librarian currently engaged for issuing and delivering books to the students. Members of the College Library Committee also assist students to issuing and depositing of books as required. There is a counter for stocking of new books in the main library room. Students enter the library leaving their own bags outside. Students can study as long as they want in the reading room of the library. As the college students are connected to N-list so they can access the library from their home. So it can be said that the college library is able to provide remote access system properly.
The college library is divided into three rooms. Two rooms are used for storing books and one room is used as a reading room. The reading room of the college library has the capacity of 30 students to study simultaneously. Students can access the book once a week and they can keep these books for 15 days.
