The college library uses KOHA software along with the ONOS system, which offers a modern and efficient way to manage library resources in today’s digital world. The library has its own server running KOHA software, and there are around 15,000 books available across various subjects related to education. Each year, new books are added based on student needs.
All books in the library are computerized with unique call numbers using KOHA software. A major benefit of KOHA is its easy cataloguing and management, which makes it simple for librarians to organize and update resources, ensuring students and staff can easily find what they need. The ONOS system also enhances the library experience by offering advanced search features. Both students and faculty members have access to ONOS.
With the library's integrated system, it has become fully digital. The library is overseen by an active committee, and faculty members regularly recommend new books to be added. As a result, students always have access to the latest resources.
There is a counter in the library to stock new books, and students must leave their bags outside when entering. They can study in the reading room as long as they wish. Since the students are connected to ONOS, they can access library resources from home, making the library accessible remotely.
The One Nation One Subscription (ONOS) system provides access to e-journals and databases through national licenses from over 30 major international publishers. These resources are available to students and faculty of participating institutions.
The college library has three rooms: two for storing books and one as a reading room. The reading room can accommodate up to 30 students at a time. Students can borrow books for 15 days and are allowed to take out books once a week.
